When Halda Tripmasters and Twinmasters were in production, works navigators were given a tough leather case to hold the complete range of calibration gear wheels. I have had replica cases made which are available at £55 each or £50 if you also buy a complete set of wheels at £400, thus saving £49 over the cost of buying them individually. NOW.......perhaps the rarest Halda accessory of all is the gear wheel holder! There are very few of the originals around! This is a chrome plated device which holds the complete range of large X wheels, ie 118-150, and two of the small Z wheels. It is normally only necessary to have two Z wheels, one for the miles and one for the kilometers setup. This holder fits into the leather case and I consider it to be the ultimate accessory for the historic rally navigator. The good news is that I have had replicas made, they are exact copies but obviously have new chrome plate and new thumb screws to hold the wheels in place.
