First Things First
Here are a few things to help you get the most out of your Halda, or give
you some assistance if you are a proud new owner wondering how to fit the
instrument you have just rescued from the depths of someone's garage.
First remove spiders, mouse droppings and old bits of sticky installation
tape from the outside. Check that the knobs move, but don't force them or
you could be in real trouble. DON'T try to undo the little grub screws in
the knobs unless you have exactly the right sized jeweller's screwdriver
and even so be prepared for the blade to break. By now you will probably
be making the decision to send it to me for a proper overhaul. Even if you
have found a pristine Halda still in its box, do ring me up so that I can
warn you of one or two things that need checking after many years of disuse.
There are a number of alternative ways of connecting up the various meters
you have to your speedo cable, in order to adapt to the circumstances and
to the amount of space you have in you particular vehicle. I can supply all
the parts that you may need. Give me a call or email me if you are unsure
which is the best option for you or if you need more specific information
on the cables and connections.
Below you will find several options for Installation:
